In multi-player, some items are quite rightly shared amongst everyone in the party. As you can see, this gets expensive - especially when I order you to, 'Before you fight this boss, go buy ten invincibility, ten rapid fire, ten light amulets, and ten 3-Way shots'. You can accrue more duration for an item by buying it multiple times. But once you start a stage, it's life starts ticking away. The timers or 'ammo' for each item is not used (unless it's a key or potion) while you are in Sumner's Tower. What this means: All items, unless they are keys or potions, are used immediately once you buy them. Anybody want this Staff of Wizardry? Anybody? Huh, any one? Okay, we'll toss it in the pile with the other junk. This means no more taking advantage of the spurious GMs who so littered the maze with tons of magic items for the taking and selling them for profit to build your statistics. Unlike Gauntlet Legends, Gauntlet Dark reverts to the Gauntlet of yore and has only two stockable items.
Items found around the Gauntlet can be stored (stockable) or are used immediately.
